About Us
Nyimbwa multi-purpose Organization
Nyimbwa multi-purpose Organization of people living with HIV/AIDS was established as a Community Based Organization (CBO) in 2002 after seven founding members confirmed their HIV positive status.
In August 2012, the Organization was officially registered as a Non Governmental Organization by the Ministry of Internal Affairs under charity No 9343.
Our Vision
A community which is free from AIDS and has access to comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services.
Our Mission
To support communities to reduce HIV transmission and help those who are already infected to gain access to HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support.
NYIMUPHA intends to mitigate the adverse socio-economic effects of AIDS on individuals and their dependants through self help initiatives such as income generating activities
.
Our Programs
Home Based Care
The organization supports PLWHAs admitted in hospitals or after discharge. There are some clients especially those staying with their grand children who face the problem of isolation when they are bed ridden.
Education Support
Nyimbwa Multi-purpose Organization supports female students in Luweero and neighboring Districts to achieve their educational goals. Since 2010, we have supported 16 female students both at secondary level and University.
Human Rights Awareness
With the increasing rate of violation of such marginalized groups of individuals, NYIMUPHAs took upon itself to answer the cry of those groups. In 2012, it partnered with Human Rights Awareness and Promotion Forum.
Nutrition Support
